Check Engine Light on "new" CPO M3

3rd day owning a 2018 CPO M3, and the check engine light is on. I drove the recently purchased car from the Ohio dealer to Florida home. Tbh, I was WOT a lot of the way down and hoping I didn't over do it. Very surprised since it's a CPO, stock model. We'll see what dealer says when I take it in....

I guess I found the culprit. This is loose. Should I fasten myself? Will error go away?

You have a warranty, a CPO warranty at that. Bring it in and let them fix it. That’s why you paid the extra for CPO.

Loose charge pipe should be an easy fix if it’s that.

Yup. Just unscrew the clamp and put the charger pipe couple on and retighten. Easy peazy.

Ok, this makes me feel better. Hoping this isn't continual issue. The car did sound like it had a very loud blow off valve...now I know this isn't normal.

You made the right choice!!!!

It will be a little tough in the beginning to not engage every yahoo that pulls up on you on the road
After awhile it gets easier.

Again; congratulations!

You can tighten the crap out of those Norma clamps if you use a hand nut-driver (I don't mean a ratchet). They're top quality and have the little spring shim. I tighten mine till they stop and I see a little pull into the rubber, but I don't crank them.

I would be concerned that the charge pipe clamps were loose. Good thing you have a warranty in case something else goes awry.

Hopefully they either replaced your spark plugs and or charge cooler and just forgot to tighten. Other than swapping out aftermarket chargepipes or replacing them altogether, should be no other main reason to loosen them
