E39 M5 rims on E92 M3 Test. Thoughts?
Haven't seen if anyone tried this but I bought a set of genuine OEM E39 M5 wheels off a friend for extremely cheap and before flipping them I test fit them on the my E92 M3. Rear fits perfect with a 12mm spacer but the inside barrel on the front rim hits the caliper by a hair width. I think it looks awesome. Here are some pics.

the rims themselves look amazing as an OE wheel, but on the E92 platform, it just looks dated. but I am slightly period-correct biased so it doesn't help when I see older generation wheels on a newer generation car vice-versa.

Agreed. Plus E39s have the wrong hub size
