QuickJack at Costco on sale AGAIN!! (Nov 2021)
Not sure if this is the correct spot for this but figured this was a good deal and wanted to pass it on. Costco has the QuickJack 5000SLX on sale for $1049, lowest I have seen it for a while. Last year was like $999 for black friday I think, but no deals since then.
UPDATE 10/31/2021 New sale price is once again $999 plus tax. Shipping is included, must be a Costco member. Best deal of the year! https://www.costco.com/quickjack-5%2...100460313.html UPDATE 12/14/2021 Ok, looks like the SLX model is officially NLA from Costco. All listing pages and stock numbers have been removed from their website. Only the considerably more expensive TL seems to be available from them now.

I was actually contemplating getting one of these... I wonder how they are "long term"... I keep my car outside, so if I were to use it, it would be out there for a day or so. Looking at some of the videos, it looks like you can disconnect the hose while its up in the air on the locks. That way I could bring the rest of the pump and unit back into the garage.. Does that sound about right...?

Yes, once locked you can remove all of that. I have been wanting one of these for quite some time. Missed the $999 deal but had to jump on this one.

I just order the 7000lb one ($200 off). We have an audi Q7 that would've pushed the 5000lb limit.
I have wanted one of these for years.

The reviews I've read say leaking gear oil is inevitable. I was close to buying one and have wanted one for a long time but I couldn't live with leaking oil on my driveway every time I use it so now I'm over it.

I’ve left my M3 for weeks on the jack and no issues or leaks, I highly recommend the Rotary pads FJ2440 to make it even easier on the jacking points.

I have read reviews that complained about a number of issues, and oil leaks are one of them. However, after a careful look at the system and the complete assembly instructions, I would be willing to bet most of those leaks came from improper fitting installation. That is about the only place on this system where I can see leaks "developing". The pump should not be an issue, but ALL of the fittings and hoses are to be installed by the user and could easily be screwed up. I have heard so many good reviews over the years from forum members, both here and on several others I am a member of, that I think the amount of use I will be getting out of these will be worth the risk of a minor leak or two.

I have the 5000SLX and use it on a regular basis. It's been great.
I only had leaks at the connections due to not using enough thread sealant. Re-did the connections and it's been good for the most part. Occasionally I'll get a little drip at the fittings but I could probably fix it if I cared enough. Before having the Quickjack it was very hard to lift the car onto jack stands. The front jack point is almost unreachable unless you drive the car up on ramps first. Or, you need a freakishly long reach low profile jack to clear the bumper (if you are lowered). Obviously you can't lift from the side jack points if you want to put the car on jack stands. With the QJ its a few minutes worth of hooking up the hoses and then the whole car lifts evenly at once. |

I have the DC version which just has jumper cable clamps to connect to your car battery to operate the lift. Pretty slick. |

Appreciate the additional feedback. I do want one but I would just hate to have oil stains on my driveway so the risk is a no go. Im too OCD about that

Ive had one of these for several years now, lifting 2-3 M3's/m5's on a weekly basis ive only had the quick release fitting leak on the lines from time to time. Ive changed them from quick release to actual coupling hydraulic fittings and no issues since.

Mine is 2.5 years old and the only time I've ever had a leak was when I didn't hold down the lower button long enough to fully drain the fluid from the lines before disconnecting, and had a little bit drip out the of the line on disconnect. Otherwise this thing is a godsend and solid as a rock for DIY. Have left disconnected on the jacks for days at a time.

My leaks a bit at the connections. More like weeping. I'm a long-time BMW owner so I'm used to that sort of thing

ive had one for quite some time as well, jeep has been on it for months, no issues or leaks.
They are suppose to release a new version one of these days, thinking sales prices are there to help clear out inventory. I do want another one, been waiting for the new version.
