Is Carly worth it? Can I use a different ODB or do i have to use theirs?

WOndering if Carly is worth it. In the e90 days, i used to (download the andriod apk) lol and do the coading. Does that method still work?

Can i use my own odb or do i need to buy theirs?

Is it worth $65 a year now (i guess they made it annual fee based~)

with bimmercode, i can open the exhaust valve?

I think you mean BimmerLink. Can’t do anything with the exhaust except disable ASD, can’t force open the exhausts with BimmerCode.

For exhaust valve control, and some other diagnostic capabilities, yes. The BimmerLink site lists its capabilities/options and a search on the forums (and the net) should be able to fill in the rest of the gaps.

This is the list of "approved" interface tools from inside the Bimmercode app. Can't say 100% whether Carly will work or not, but it's obviously not on the list…

I have a Carista at home I'll try after work. If that works maybe the Carly will?
