Need info on Performance Driving School
Hi All,
I just picked up a 2008 M3 sedan. I have seen a few of you here mention that BMW was giving free Performance Driving Schools to new M3 purchasers. When I asked my dealer about it they had no info and were not sure if the promo was still in effect. I went to the bmwusa site and couldn't find anything either. Can anyone provide some info on this for me? Thanks, Aaron |

Weird b/c I am pretty sure some guy either posted here or on m3forums yesterday saying he did get the school. Maybe it is one of those things they try to give you unless you ask.

Dealer's are worthless for this little bonus, call the Performance Driving Center 888-345-4269, they will have your info in the computer a few days after you buy your car, they'll email you the form.
You'll need to fax or mail them a the form, bill of sale and state vehicle registration then they'll book your date. I'm waiting til they come out with the 2009 VIR schedule. |

I did some searching in BMW's UK site and in the German site (although my German are almost non existent) and cant find anything. Then I have sent an email to one of those general emails that poped out in BWM.de, and I am still waiting to hear from them (if my email didn't end up in their junk folder). If anyone has info on this I would appreciate your guidance before contacting me dealer. |

the package they are giving away isn't performance driving school, it is called "M Driving Experience". They don't really teach you anything, you just get to beat on M3s, M5s, and M6s on some closed courses for about 6 hours.
It's basically a marketing event to show you how great the ///M line is. I speak from experience because I just got back from the event. My business partner purchased an M5 and was kind enough to take me along for the ride. If you can finagle your way in... i highly suggest it, i had an absolute great time. I have a new found respect for the M5 and M6... regardless of their boat-ish stature |
