Maintenance Question
Recently purchased a X5 with a 10,098 miles. Is there a way to confirm the 10,000 mile maintenance happened? Outside of that why would it say the next maintenance is 11,000 miles away? Is maintenance not ever 10,000 miles?

You've got a newer G05 X5, not sure what the maintenance intervals are. Probably more info here -
https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/index.php Regardless of X5 model BMW's free maintenance plan is 3 years/36K so I'd assume the original owner would have had any services done at a BMW dealer, which there'd be records of. So check with your dealer. Also keep in mind those mileage counters in iDrive are not always accurate. Most definitely not accurate on brake pad life remaining. |

Ditto above...if the work was done at a BMW dealership...then the SA will stick your key in the key reader and should then have access to any service work performed on the vehicle at any BMW dealership. If the work was done at a non BMW dealership...then it won't appear on the service history. If the oil change was done in the previous owners driveway...then all you'll have to go on is that they reset the engine oil service back in August 2021 since the CBS (condition based service) for oil service is ???miles/12 months (which ever comes first).
If you haven't registered the vehicle with BMW NA...you may want to go to the website an do so in case there are any recalls or service bulletins that affect the car. If they don't know that you are the new owner...you'll never receive any documentation from BMW NA.
