How do you reset your brake pad indicator on a 2013 m3 with idrive?
I did my fiancés rear pads yesterday but I can't seem to get the pad service warning to go away. I found a ton of guides but it seems to just be for the older model m3s. None of the guides worked. I also don't see a way to reset it in I drive.
It was overdue for service though, is that why I can't reset it?

Once it goes to red (from yellow) you'll have a really hard time doing a reset. I had to get new brake wear indicators to get it to trip over, but you might be able to take the sensor off, do a reset, put it on again, and do another reset.
I dread having to do this again on my car, it shows 4000 miles left which has disappeared in a single track day on me before. :-( I can't even use the OEM sensors on my pads anymore but I'll still have to fuss with it sometime soon. |

If you have the Carly app plus the OBD2 wifi dongle you can easily reset it, though it'll cost you about $100-125 for the app plus the dongle.
