Odd grid noise when gear shift (DCT)
Hello, I have a 2018 m3 comp DCT trans with about 15k miles and I'm hearing a weird grind/rub noise when shifting from 5th to 6th gear. Not sure if this noise is coming from the DCT transmission or the differential. I hear it more towards the rear of the vehicle and it is mostly heard within the cabin than outside. This noise happens around 1.0~2.0k rpm for a split second and only when the car is automatically shifting from 5th to 6th in comfort mode with the d1 setting. I do not hear the noise when I drive it in manual mode though... I have attached an audio file and the grinding noise happens at the 8s mark.

I have attached the audio file to the original post but if that is not viewable I have uploaded it to google drive as well.
