Induction noise/ tune help

I recently purchased my second E90 M3. First one was completely stock. This one is lower mileage and has a few mods (test pipe, AFE intake/elbow, four pipe, tune). I was going to do similar mods to my previous car but came across this with lower miles and in nicer shape so decided to jump on it. I’m finding that this new car (nice condition and slightly modded) has less induction noise, even lower torque but better fuel mileage…

1. Maybe it’s because the exhaust has a lot of noise to it… has anyone else experienced AFE intake quieter over stock?
2. What else is on the market that offers maximum induction noise for least cost? I’ve read about Eventuri, anything else?
3. The car came with active autowerke tune. I’m seeing far better mpg but less torque (vs previous E90). Has that been anyone else’s experience too?

Thx!

I could not be happier with the induction sound of the Eventuri plenum. It's expensive but worth every penny. I've got it paired with a Dinan intake and coupled with the OEM exhaust mod and Alpine tune this is exactly how I want the car.

Good luck getting it dialed in!

Would you best describe the sound as "significant amplified induction noise"? I'm interesting in buying the Eventuri, but I find it hard to really tell from videos If it's worth the money.

Even on their website, the sound clips section doesn't have a before/after. It obviously looks great under the hood though.

Eventuri induction noise is night and day paired with Venturi intake...however, OP...I had an AFE CF cold Air intake kit that was somewhat moderate induction noise...prior to going all out Eventuri.....you may want to replace your filter or clean it to see if that helps with increasing Air Flow to increase induction noise,.,,also examine your airbox, filter from any blockage etc. good luck

It's a significant difference with only the plenum. The elbow doesn't add as much sound. I'm sure the Karbonius is great too.

I have Eventuri Plenum only with the BMW M performance exhaust, and it is VERY noticeable.

Generally people who buy the plenum and are disappointed have very loud exhausts and wonder why they can’t hear the plenum lol.

Remember this, ANY car can have a loud exhaust, but a loud induction sound is a rare thing these days.

Probably the most insane induction noise possible will be Eventuri or Karbonius plenum with an Armaspeed intake. If you're on a budget just get the Arma. The Arma is insanely loud even on its own.

Yes and especially putting your foot into it at 5k, from there on up it’s just intense.

Yeah that sounds awesome. I find that most clips are so muddled with exhaust note that it's hard to hear induction sound--but this is a great windows up video.

I'm really loving the induction noise from my modified stock plenum. Can't beat that sound for such an inexpensive price:

Lots of people for whatever reason put their windows down when recording induction sound, but wind noise and exhaust is going to make the recording worse. I do have a bit of window down recording in there though.
