Hey man, I see you upgraded to the 6 piston calipers in the front. Question - did you leave the rears stock? If so, how do you feel about the braking improvement? I am curious about swapping out just the fronts for now, but don't know if it is advisable. Also - did you code in the M Performance brakes?

Hi, yes I only upgraded the front brakes - the rears remain stock. I am very happy with the performance improvement and think spending a bunch of money on the rears is likely diminishing returns. The rears from an M5 I believe are the ugly floating ones anyway so looks won't be any better. If you're tracking your car or looking for ultimate performance then for sure you'd upgrade all four corners.
I have coded the Big Brake Kit in Esys but I could not tell the difference (I ran them without the coding for quite a few months). Maybe it has some practical impact but I couldn't tell. Highly recommended upgrade. |
