'18 F80 M3 Alarm Randomly Going Off
On fairly hot days of about 85° plus, vehicle reverse parked into shaded car port all morning not driven yet, sun does manage to beam directly on the front of the vehicle, and about 11am or so the alarm will trip. I've noticed that it typically always happens in hot weather. If the vehicle is parked normally into the shaded car port under the same circumstance the alarm never gets tripped.
I've dug a bit into this and it sounds like a somewhat common issue with BMW's general due a defective hood switch, but under other mysterious circumstances. Anyone else's F8X alarm randomly goes off? |

Mine did and it was due to movement being detected. Only happens on hot days with a sun visor being used. If I make sure it is wedged down at the base of the windshield.

Since I have a BT OBD adapter I may get it to poke around with and see if it can grab that alarm trigger.
