BM3 GTS tune
I recently had the BM3 Stage 1 tune installed on my M4 and have been hearing that I may want to look at the GTS DCT Tune as well.
Would appreciate any comments or advice on whether this is worth looking in to. I'm also wondering if it is included in the original BM3 software that I purchased? I had the Stage 1 installed by someone on the site but I do have all the cables and required hardware to do any of the work myself. (except the knowledge) Is it fairly simple to do this install? Thanks in advance, Stan __________________ 2017 M4 Competition F83 MW/SO

Since none answered, I don't have BM3 but I have MHD (which comes with GTS DCT just like BM3). If BM3 is similar to MHD, flashing process should be straightforward, just choose the option to flash GTS DCT rather than Stage 1 Engine tune. For reference, MHD's long flash took about 3-4 minutes (initial write) for engine. And during GTS flash, it actually crapped out, put me in panic mode. Did the flash again and it went fine, but it took longer than engine flash (probably 4-5 min). I am under the impression that BM3 takes longer to flash so that may be something to keep in mind. Good luck! Difference with GTS flash was immediate in my experience.

I was sure I would get a lot of response and information regarding that question and was quite surprised with the lack of answers. I will definitely do as you said and flash for the GTS DCT changes to see how it feels. Stan

Need to have the login to flash yourself. Post made it seem like someone did it for him since he’s asking if it’s easy or not. so the first step here would be to use your login info to get into the BM3 software. Sounds like you can figure it out!

i flashed mine, process was super straight forward. if you can handle flashing a tune, you can do this
i did it almost immediately after getting the car, so i dont have a ton of reference as far as the improvements it brings |

I can’t say which I prefer
They’re both different Stock will hit you in the back everytime you shift and somewhat disrupt the chassis GTS will remove the jolt when you shift and things become far smoother. I thought stock was fun but I’m okay with the GTS tune for now |

But haven't got enough info yet to know if that's true. I'd be paying again for an xhp tune and the BM3 is free so there's that... |

I had the MHD GTS DCT flash for a couple of years and loved it over the initial 2017 stock flash. I went in for a software flash for my idrive and the dealer flashed my entire car to the 2021 software which made a huge difference. The DCT behaved so close to the GTS flash that I didn't notice it was different until I was on the freeway. In D3 the shift point from 7 to 6 was off and a few other differences. If stock was like that I would never have bothered. I tried out the XHP and like the stage 2 with some tweaking to the shift points. It is now like GTS+ which I adore.

Odd thing though, I just reflashed my engine from Stage 1 MHD to Multimap Stage 1 MHD yesterday, and I get the jolt whenever I shift now, similar to stock DCT jolt. More pronounced clamping from the stop is still there but it has jolt each time I shift now. Engine flash wouldn't have touched DCT...Strange...but I will take it!

GTS Tune
I am going to give the BM3 GTS tune a try and see how it feels.
I don't drive the car that hard and only occasionally do hard pulls so I think I'll save the $ and see how it feels. Thanks guys for all the info. I'll post how it works out.

I am running the BM3 Stage 1 but will have to ask the installer that I had to it whether or not the GTS trans was an add on or if it's actually been flashed. I didn't notice much difference in the shifts but the power was substantial.
