Front-Axle Lift Options?
Hi All,
I have an M3 CS inbound and have a steep driveway. I don't think it will currently clear and am wondering about the options for a front-axle lift system. I found this old video through a search and connected with Golan @ Autotalent, who I've worked with in the past, but he sadly informed me that KW discontinued their HLS system. I'm curious if anyone has figured out another solution? RugbyBro

I bought wider tires to clear my driveway. I didn't want to lose my Adaptive suspension.

There’s a few threads and vids on Air Cup systems that lift the front end to clear steep inclines.

The only system I’m aware of that’s currently on the market are the aforementioned air cups. X.Shell has a thread on them, linked above and reposted below:
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1889868 SYT_Shadow has also been looking for a front end lift system for his GTSs. He’s also a really great resource for the forum especially with regard to track related topics. Not sure why M Motorsport doesn’t sponsor the guy yet But outside of lift systems, raising the car closer to stock height might be the best move. Clearance can get pretty tight in the front when lowered on HAS and/or with a lift system.

There is no off the shelf solution like the KW HLS. That being said, the KW HLS was pretty lame anyways.
The only solutions I know of are StanceParts Air Cups or HybridAir — both solutions are almost identical in their execution except one uses a piston cup and the other uses an air bag (still a piston internally). My Air Cup thread is linked in some of the replies. I don't recommend doing it unless you absolutely need it since there are a lot of hoops you have to jump through to get it to work. |
