quick question on changing spark plugs.
I noticed in all the DIY videos / posts no one mentions using anti-seize or dielectric grease when doing plugs.
On all my other vehicles I always use a dab of Nickel Anti-seize (not copper) on the plug threads and a dab of dielectric grease in the coil pack. Is there a reason no one does this on the S55? |

Our spark plugs have a light torque spec (23Nm) so anti seize isn't needed.
I like my plug holes nice and clean/dry so I can vac out any dust.

BMW in general doesn't recommend using it. Not only can it alter the accuracy of tightening torque but it's really not necessary. I've never had a problem removing any even after ~100k miles, let alone the ~30k that S55 plugs will be installed.
