Very Damaged Key Fob

This morning I walked into my living room and found my key fob in the middle of the floor. Looks like my pup wanted to drive the car last night. I then found the back of it in the kitchen and then the battery was just under the couch (thankfully he didn't eat the battery)

The key fob still works! I went out to my garage to try and I found all the windows rolled down

Not sure why he decided to get that key off the hanger when there's other options. I do have a second key fob so that's now the primary one

Time to get a Gates key fob

Ebay and Amazon have blank cases you can buy for a few dollars. Just need to move the board over. Key is uncut - just move over the one you have as well.

For a few dollars more, you can get a different button than the BMW one.

Both are great inputs. I will check the back of it and see about disassembling it

You could also get this and simply cover the damage in 30 seconds. One thing is that it adds to the bulkiness of the key but at least you can try it out for free

Glad to hear that the doggo didn't swallow any parts of it, esp the battery!

Perfect reason to go with gates and get the X5 fob the car should have come with. I love mine!

Definitely get it converted to the Gates key. I have mine and I'm obsessed with it, feelings great in the hand and the added weight is appreciated so I don't forget it's in my pocket

I don't think the cover will work well, the unlock button is pretty smashed in
