Rear differential axle lock; ABS sensor to blame?
Hey, I have Rear differential axle lock warning along with ABS and stability warnings.
I took it to a German car specialist and their first instinct was that the rear left ABS sensor was buggered, they said they were getting no signal from it. Advised that this would be the first thing they would change but they actually recommended that I take it to BMW for a more formal diagnostic. I finally managed to get my computer to work with my E-Net cable and read the faults in the attached picture(ignore the tyre pressure and Camera-based driver assist faults as they have been there forever). From these faults, do you believe that it would be as simple as the ABS sensor? I've seen other people post about the same problem, where the ABS sensor solved the problem, but they did not have the D3542F code in their list. |

Ok so I replaced the rear left speed sensor. The faults cleared and then shortly after they came back. But this time the blame has now moved over to the rear right sensor.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? Is it possible that the module which interfaces with these sensors could be damaging them? See attached new set of fault codes. |
