Lack of representation!
Anyone else feel there's a lack of representation with the F80 in media and pop culture? There's just not much from movies and video games all the way down to Hot wheels models! Lets compile everything on this thread that's F80 related in pop culture, toys, models, etc if you guys know of any!

i think the car gets plenty of love. i mean there are so many good cars now. and tbh society doesnt give af about sports cars anymore. the woke rhetoric is to hate on sports cars and love their gaz guzzling SUVs and electrics.
just speaking from experiennce. I love all cars |

the f80 was never well received by the media or youtube reviewers. it never makes #1 on any M car comparison list (its usually the e46 or e92). Most youtube guys will pick the e92 over the f80 as well. in fact many of them sold their f80 and went back to a e46 or e92 (obsessed garage, spencer berke).

The E9X M3 is to the E46 M3, as the F8X is to the E36 M3. Like the E36, the F8X wasn't appreciated during its generational run BUT it'Il be respected with time. And so, I wouldn't expect too much media representation. The journalists were busy fawning over the Alfa Romeo so I can understand why it might seem like they won the era… Fun fact, the V8 RS4 seemed to win the E9X era but now that car is a non-factor in modern times. BMW ///M wins damn near every contest with time.

My prediction has been and remains that F8X will become a truly sought after track (and other performance) platform. Now that all the dudes that should have bought M340s instead over its production run have moved on, we’re left with those who will truly appreciate the platform for what it can do. And also some knuckle heads who get their hands on a cheap car, do questionable things, and give us all a bad name.

When I was the only non Porsche to run a track weekend I'd constantly get people coming over talking about not only how good it looks but also how fun it seems and how good it sounded on the track, got like 100 questions about it I firmly believe it'll be held in high regard in the future of enthusiast |

I don't think the F80 needs any advertising. It gets the right looks from people who know…
Some may not know what an M2 or M4 is, but the M3 is an icon with old blood. A man walked by staring…"ooooh, them hips" he said.

At the end of the day, it's just a fully trimmed option of a 3/4 series.
Great car, but I wouldn't go out on a limb and say it's the greatest car ever or expect a highly produced car to be so dominant in the car media scene, even though it's everything I personally wanted in a vehicle.
