Ac issue

So I've had this happen a few times on hot days. Normally, my ac gets cold enough and fan blows hard enough. Today driving, I noticed that the vents on full power didn't blow much air. It's like an internal register was shut. And the air didn't feel cold enough. I put it on manual and full power and didn't feel much air and it wasn't very cold. It was in full fan, but felt like it was on lowest speed instead. Parked the car, let it sit for few hours, tried again and bam cold air and on full fan blowing really hard. Is there an actuator or something that's maybe getting frozen stuck? I have CS, not sure if that makes a difference. I've had this happen before, and had my ac compressor pulley/clutch fail and replaced, but not suspecting like maybe this caused that. Hopefully the part is easy to get to and doesn't require like dash removal or something.

Your A/C system may be low on refrigerant and is "freezing up" - had this same issue on my 2015 M3. You can take it to a shop and get the system fully charged or buy a kit at the auto parts store (can of refrigerant with hose and gauge) and charge it yourself. There is also the possibility that the system is over-charged, which an A/C gauge will reflect and you can bleed out some of it to get it into the "green" zone on the gauge.

Could be related to this TSB: https://www.tsbsearch.com/BMW/SI-B64-06-13

I bought part number 64119350495 and haven't had this issue since then.

Unless it's leaking, I just had it refilled so I don't think it's the issue. Plus I figured they would also need to refill it when they warrantied the ac compressor replacement like a month ago. Will need to check if it's over pressure maybe
