Question about E92 M3 roofs

Hello forum connoisseurs,

Quick question about the roof options of the E92 M3:
Did BMW ever offer any other roof spec besides Carbon Fiber and Sun/Moonroof?
I see some people referring to their e92 as slicktop and wonder if there was a no CF, no Sun/Moonroof version of the car.

Thank you for your input!

no cf roof was available on the e90.
Cf came standard on the e92.

Some people do mention E92 and slicktop together - just means no sunroof which means it has a CF roof. You could not get a steel roof/no sunroof on the E92. CF was standard, sunroof was a no cost option.

The E90 came standard with a steel roof. A sunroof was a $1050 option. No CF option for E90.

Most people when they say slicktop refer it to E90s with no sunroof. For E92s its just a carbon roof, haven't heard people say a slicktop E92.

slicktop just means no sunroof.

there was no option for a carbon runroof hybrid. it was one or the other. the e90 never came with a carbon roof, its just a blank steel roof if you didn't get the sunroof option.

so the e92 came with carbon or a sunroof, and the e90 came with a blank steel roof or a sunroof.

So there are no E92 metal roof cars? I thought it was an option on E92 to not have sunroof or carbon but it was custom build?

Correct. Carbon fiber or sunroof for the E92, it's one or the other.

Certainly not possible in the US. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was possible elsewhere.

I have seen comments on a slick top on an E92, usually in want or for sale ads. Simply showing their ignorance. Like those that say the carbon fiber roof is part of the ZCP package.
