US vs UK Body Wiring Harness

Anyone able to confirm these for the same year and transmission would be universal? Trying to buy an extra to work in thinning to primary functions for track build.

Don't think they are. UK is right hand drive vs US left hand drive.

Yes, that's what I was curious about. I recognize the driver sides but maybe the harnesses were largely interchangeable from length perspective. But maybe it's a true mirror.

Have you checked PN's on realoem.com? They have a EUR option as well as a USA. Under Europe I'd imagine there might be a few PN's for LHD VS RHD if they're different.

I haven't. Was just being lazy and sending an information flare hoping the World Wide Web would come to my rescue.

Part numbers for engine harness are different. Looks like they have an engine harness and a chassis harness? Not like you need speakers, amps, airbag nonsense for race car though? Id say if it's cheap enough, fuck around and find out 📈 that's same production YEAR and month LHD vs RHD

I just want the body or chassis harness. Not messing with engine.

I mean, if you’re thinning the harness, you’re butchering it anyway.

That said, for a thinned chassis harness, wouldn’t any same-chassis harness be fine? 328/335/m3 shouldn’t matter.

Exactly, I'll be butchering it. We'll see the eBay seller hasn't responded to my counter. Might be butchering my own instead.

Good news is that you'll have plenty of extra wire for things that need to be tweaked. And definitely use the BMW wire. It's way better than most of what you can buy. I keep a few trashed harnesses around to harvest wire and pigtails from.
