wheel swap with CCB's

I am new to the world of carbon ceramics.

If you still have wheel bolts and not wheel studs, be careful when removing the wheels. It's best to use those temporary studs at minimum to prevent your wheel from sliding off the hub and damaging your rotors. Or swap over to actual wheel studs.

Adding to that, ceramic rotors chip rather easily. Once there is any sort of chip on the rotor itself, it's pretty much deemed unusable. So be careful when removing wheels and putting them back on.

Also just as a side note, you should not use harsh wheel cleaner chemicals on carbon ceramics. They absorb the chemicals and overtime, will not be good for the rotor. For wheel cleaning with ceramic rotors, just use a mild car wash soap without any sort of additives (wax, SiO2, etc..) There is not much brake dust to begin with anyways.

Thanks guys

After I remove the 2 upper lugs I’m going to screw in 2 wheel studs just to give me a safety net and make sliding the wheel off easier

I don’t have CCB on my m3 but Porsche recommends using the 2 studs across eg in position 1&2 on how you would tighten a star pattern is the best way I can describe it. You don’t want the wheel to swing or sway in a way it can contact the rotor

I bought two of these and use them to remove/install wheels, so far, they work great.
