F15 x50 .. Mppk or straight to chip?

should I even mess with the mppk on the V8 or should I just straight to an aftermarket tune. I was surprised to see dinan didnt have much to offer me.

Go straight to bm3 no questions asked. There the best. Just make sure engine is ready to tune and on top of all maintenance as well as transmission. My dealer even detected tune but still had bmw corp approve warranty claim but for anything expensive repair they would most likely not.

The MPPK is not applicable to the 50i, only the 35i.

Did you look on Dinan's website? Just the one option, same as always from them.

I always thought they offered different levels. And I saw this but it says they are not shipping. Thank you for the clarification on the mppk.

Yes they offer many different levels. You purchase the software then you can download that level to your car via an Enet cable. The bootmod3 software can be used on a laptop or directly from an app from appstore. It's like updating an iPhone but its your car that getting an update via OTS flash map aka level. The piggyback tune like dinan that you have to connect to engine is old technology now. This site has the full package you get the software and they ship you a cable. You can then select the stage 1 map thats pre made for your engine. You can get this on your car tonight if you have cable already. Also black friday they usually discount bm3. https://autotalent.com/products/boot...kaAr8AEALw_wcB
