Ultimate care+ and extended warranty

Hi Everyone

My car has finally arrived at my dealer.
I drive 25-30k miles a year, and will be financing my car over 60 months

What does everyone think about ultimate care+, and extended warranty's?
What do you all recommend, and does anyone know the difference between getting coverage now vs later?

My dealer is not really offering any discounts that are significant. I am not sure how much markup they have in these products

Thank you all, I am very excited!

Often you can find a dealer that will discount an extended warranty. The most comprehensive ones are offered by the manufacturer. I wouldn’t consider having a complicated vehicle like this without. Minor electrical components, computers, etc can shock you with their cost. You can always pose it to the dealer like this:
“I’m going to purchase one, would you rather make a little less on the sale, or zero.”
It’s not like a vehicle where supply may be limited!

I’ve heard about this before. Do you have to use Geico for car insurance to be eligible for this or no?

Just took delivery yesterday of a 2024 i7. The finance manager discussed two different extended warranty coverages. One from BMW and the other from Fidelity. He provided a pamphlet for the Fidelity warranty, but nothing for the BMW one.
Cost:
BMW Platinum coverage: 75K - 7 years $6,440.00
Fidelity: 80K - 10 years $5,620.00

I have never heard of the Fidelity plan, but the finance manager mentioned that the coverage was the same as the BWM plan and it was accepted at all BMW dealerships. I believe that both had a $250 deductible.

Anyone familiar with the Fidelity plan? Do those prices seem reasonable?
