New 760i breakin period power limit question

I test drove the 2023 760i with all intentions of buying it, but I was shocked by how slow of a car it was - it felt like a 4 cyclinder rental car in terms of power, but was otherwise amazing. The dealer told me the engine torque and RPMs are locked down for the first 300 miles during breakdown, which I have now read on this forum as well. The dealer could not tell me how much the engine is limited because they did not really know and I decided that I could not buy this car on faith alone on what it would feel to drive it after 300 miles. I ended up not buying the car while I research this a bit more.

My question is for those that own this car, how much power does the car have after the breakin and does it feel like a totally different car once you hit 300 miles? Was it a huge shocking power and acceleration increase or just a little bump?

I own the car and i made around 700 miles so far , i get what you mean by the power lock.
Buy the car my friend, the car is extremely responsive and quick , plus numbers dont lie. The car has 536 HP and 0-60 in 3.9 ( Tested by the guy from Car Wow )

Agreed, there is no problem with HP and power, even in Personal mode. If you want more, shift into Sport mode and if you want more, you can get the 'boost' off the left shift paddle. I came from an M850i and the 760 is not lacking in power.

The 300 mile start up process was about 320 for me. For the first 1000 km I think your'e supposed to avoid kick down acceleration. But hey, this car, while big, is no slouch. It will more rapidly than you think get up to 85mph without effort - and without you realizing it. 85 feels like 55.
