Anyone know where I can purchase the F15 BMW X5 space saver spare tire and rim, jack

Anyone know where I can purchase the F15 for 2015 BMW X5 space saver spare tire and rim, jack/tools? Will the 18" spare work, when my summers are 20" and winters 19".

Dealerships are having a hard time sourcing the spare tire, spare steel rim, jack and tools...

Thanks in advance.

I posted a link yesterday in the other thread where you asked about part #'s for these same items. The OEM spare will work fine as most X5s have 19 or 20" wheels. And of course, the 18" spare is only meant to get you to a tire center at reduced speed.

If you don't want to buy it at ECS (the link I posted) and dealerships can't source them, there's all the other usual places that most people here shop at - getbmwparts.com, fcpeuro... and check your local Craigslist & OfferUp too, I see them on there from time to time.

Yes this is great advice, thank you. All the US shops online including 'getbmwparts.com' won't ship to Canada now for some reason, and my local dealership parts departments are all being silly saying those part numbers won't work for the X5 and they won't take the returns if they don't fit. Overall crappy service from BMW Canada and their affiliates.

Wish we had more online stores like ECS and FCPEURO up here in Canada.

I got a full spare kit with a tire mounted to the wheel, scissor Jack kit and tools from modernspare.com. Very happy with the kit.

Does your spare still fit over your new BBK? I think we need a x5m spare to fit
?

Same here. Very nice kit, OEM quality and easily fits under the rear tray. Paid $450ish two years ago.

You certainly have a lot of questions about tires/wheels! Honestly most of your questions could very easily be answered if you just did a quick Google search, or forum search.

Anyhow, the OEM F15 spare is 155/90/18.

Not sure what you're asking? Like what will work best, other an OEM?

And not sure what M Sport has to do with this, that's a cosmetic package, it has nothing to do with spare tire sizes.

Haha thanks. Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to dial in my vehicle... I don't trust a lot of local mechanics and wheel shops who have steered me wrong in the past. I've done a lot of searches on this forum and haven't found clear answers.

And yes Msport is just cosmetic package, I understand. I think what I meant is the overall diameter of the 20" Msport wheel package compared to the size of the spare 18". Wanted to make sure the delta wasn't off too much. Worried about messing up the transfer case with the wrong size spare tire.

But thanks for all your excellent advice and help with my posts. Beers/lunch on me, if you're ever in my area!

If you stick with the OEM spare size you should be just fine, it's meant to work with all F15/F16 applications regardless of packages and tire sizes (which spanned 18"-21" in OEM sizes for this platform). And obviously no bombing down the interstate at 80 for extended distances on the spare! Keep in mind too you could get 20" OEM wheels on the F15 w/o getting the M Sport package.

I see an OEM spare for sale on my local Craigslist right now (Seattle), which obviously doesn't help you, but point being these things pop up somewhat regularly so keep checking around.
