Short Circuit Fault 9CBB and A8A9

Ive had a soft code for a short circuit fault 9CBB the right high beam cornering light and gives error code A8A9. a friend recently tried to reset the counter but it won't go away. We followed this guide https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/t...module.866044/

We reset the lamp fixture: 0x01 High Beam, Right or E92/3 Cornering Light

The job said it was ok but when we go to check the codes, it's still there. Any idea what else we can try?

I just did this to reset a defective brake light. I used a youtube walkthrough using Tool32 that worked for me. An important part was slightly different models/years have different lamp numbers so you can't just assume the lamp. I ran the report for lamp numbers and then used Google Translate to figure out the correct lamp number to reset.

Used this and Google Translate:
