I have the key card set up on my phone for both me and my wife. This enables the ability to lock, unlock as well start and drive the car but there doesn’t seem to be any way in the menu to separate giving access to Only some of those functions. It’s all or nothing.

Yea! Works seamlessly just with phone but I personally am paranoid man and take my key fob with me. If I lose my phone, want to still be able to drive my car

My wife has the same phobia. She freaks out when we go out without the key

using the key as phone is very nice - for me this would be a backup...
unless: will the doors open when i approach the car? with the key i just press the button, door opens... grab the phone, unlock, open app, unlock again, klick open door - by that time i have driven home this is the use case where i find the physical fob more useful for those being scared about having only the phone (which i can understand!) why not use the credit card key instead? much more handy as a backup |

A more correct description would be that it unlocks automatically when you approach the car. It doesn’t auto-open like a Tesla Model X unfortunately. I wish it did…

I'm using digital key (iphone) on Tesla Model 3 from over 3 years. Never had any issues. I like it very nice, because I always have phone on me, so I dont need to handle another key (next to office keys, home keys etc)
