New LRP owner
Fourth E92, but first M3. I am excited about this car. I won a BAT auction about a month ago. Admittedly, when these were new I was a dyed-in-the-wool N54 guy and never paid them any attention, but a decade later my priorities and vehicles in the garage have changed dramatically. I recently became interested in E9X ownership after buying an old E36 M3/4/5. All the E92 charm I have missed and forgotten about is there, including the ridiculous belt extender arms, haha. The M3 specific bits really waken the chassis up compared to what I recall about my old 335s, steering in particular which is quite a bit more communicative. Absolutely love the color of the LRP, and mine has had the wheels powder coated black which is a really nice contrast over the hyper silver. The colors and all remind me of my old GT3RS in a way, which I really like.
Super happy with the engine. It isn't particularly powerful until high the rpm band, but I like how it makes you work for the power. The MPE sounds great when I can hear, but is quickly drowned out by the intake thrum. I haven't decided if I will do anything about that. Power is fine. Sound is great. I feel like a CF plenum would be a nice addition for better induction noise. My particular example is exactly what I was looking for. Driver's condition. Well maintained, some miles but every maintenance item has been covered in the past 10k miles. RB/bolts, TAs, motor mounts, fuel vent valve, new brakes all four corners, new tires, etc... Everything is exceptionally well documented in the binder that came with the car. The paint will need a good cut and buff to bring back to new before I PPF the front, but I expected that with it being 10 years old. The E9X is a great combo of both new and old, and I'm looking forward to my time with it. Already got some EC7-RS wheels and PS4S on the way. 20+ lbs of unsprung weight loss will be nice as well as the change over to my favorite tires. Congrats, agree with everyone else- it’s stunning.
The induction sound overpowering the exhaust note is a feature of the s65 rather than a flaw. Give it time. I wouldn’t mod this spec further but if NA, more is better with the s65 induction growl. |

Beautiful car. Do you know if it came from SoCal? Saw two for sale recently, know one of the owners.
Also, my humble and completely biased mod suggestions: Side note: Aren't the LRP side markers supposed to be gloss black stock (or is it black chrome, I'm guessing gloss black to match the front grills)? Is it just the camera making them look chrome chrome? |

It is a SoCal car by way of NJ for about 3 months. The second owner only put 250 miles on it.
Good question about the side markers. I have gloss black ones coming as we speak. The car is clean overall but there’s a good amount of hard water spotting all over it like it got sprinkled by a yard sprinkler from time to time and never buffed out.

LRP M3 side markers are chrome from the factory like other M3's.. If it's black someone changed them out.
front grills are also chrome trimmed from the factory like other M3's... again If it's black someone changed them out. --mike |

I will be ditching all the chrome for sure. The orange and gloss black theme really works…

Congrats on the LRP! These are fun cars, the S65 has real character and sound.
If I recognize you correctly from other forums you have had quite a list of amazing cars so very cool to see you here exploring and enjoying this hidden gem here. FWIW is worth, there a better options than the MPE, I have found corsa with test pipes is about as good and exotic as you will get without being too loud. It has the right pitch, tone and refinement I look for in exhaust setups. And yes, a plenum is a must you will definitely hear it. Plus, the corsa with TP's or xpipe wont drown out the beautiful induction noise if you get a carbon plenum |

Congrats! I've got a Brand New in Box Eventuri Intake System and OEM MPerformance Electronic steering wheel which is also new in box for sale, if you're interested. I'm selling my LRP so I don't plan on using the parts. Located in Atlanta, Ga.

Not sure why anyone would pay that much for a reasonably rare car and start modifying it, must be fairly young!

Not sure why somebody would buy a reasonably fun and exciting car and want to leave it bone stock when it can be enhanced easily and safely with newer tech and better parts a decade or more down the line. Must be fairly old/boring.
