E92 M3 "Enhanced" Sound - No more bass!
I bought my E92 M3 with the enhanced sound package last year. The speakers in the door card went out, and I suspected it was the amp. Whatever, it wasn't that noticeable so I put it off.
Recently, my bass went out. No bass from the speakers beneath the rear seats nor sound from the speakers above the rear seats, by the rear-facing window. I replaced the amp and it actually fixed the speakers in the door cards, but I still have no sound from the bass/rear speakers. It seems that these speakers all went out at once. I didn't notice them cut out while listening to music. I just turned up my volume and immediately noticed something was off. Not sure what the issue could be with the strange symptoms. |

Was the replacement amp from another E92?
These amps are fitted to many different E-Series cars and are coded so the amp knows which car type it is fitted in and which speakers and how many to power. If it was from a different car, it’ll need the MAMP module coding as an E92 M3. |

Yes, it’s an amp unique to Enhanced Premium Sound / Individual Audio, but fitted in lots of different E-Series cars.
It needs coding even if it’s come from an E90 or E93 M3, simply because of the different number and position of speakers. |

I recently replaced my amp. It was from an M3 but I don't know if its 92, 90 or 93. How/which module do I code to make sure it's for a 92?

It’s the MAMP module. If you read it first with NCS (or whichever tool you use), you should see which car type it’s currently coded for.
