M3 all generation Drag Race

Folks we've waited over 30 years for this! Carwow recently did a drag race with all generations of M3s. Really surprised at how poorly the e92 did, and how well the e46 kept up. Check out the video below:

Video was nice, but when you put a bunch of amature drivers who can’t drive stick, you get mixed results. Still nice to see them all lined up.

Maybe driver or tires on the E92? Of course E46 is a tad lighter and similar torque. F and G should have had the 6MT for this run although results likely the same.

That G80 is really just an M5. Someone in Munich doesn't know how to read the wheelbase specs on blueprints.

Carwow had E9X M3s on a couple of times and they’ve never gotten a decent run. Starting to think it’s a conspiracy

The E92 must be that much heavier than the E46 and the driver had trouble spinning the tires. In all, I'll get the E92 isn't much faster than the E46. I'd love an F80 when the time comes. I've had loads of E36M3s so I'm done. I'll never touch an E46M3 because Subframes (RACP) and Vanos issues. I'll spend my money on the newer cars. Y'all can have that F80 grill. It looks stupid (full honesty) but I know society as a whole will accept it over time. I just won't buy one unless I get a bargain.

You'd need cars of comensurate health, same driver, timed. All same tires, etc.

That E92 does not sound healthy, not even sure if it's running 98+RON octane. Fuel matters a lot for an engine with 12:1 compression ratio. I also couldn't hear the guy rev the engine at all to 8400 rpm.
