Multiple warning lights. Driving Stabilization

Hi,

Is there anybody who can interpret the error codes I'm getting on my 2019 X6 M50D that I have taken from the car using Carly.

Dash is showing:

Driving stabilization
Increased steering effort required
Front End collision warning failure
Pedestrian alert failure

Power steering isn't working so basically the car is undrivable. I can't get into either a main dealer or an independent for at least 2 weeks....any help appreciated.

Images attached.

Cheers
Graham

Hi Graham,
Although I have no answer for you currently but I did get back on this forum because I have something incredibly similar going on with my 50i. It started on Thursday night. I have a lot of the same error codes including air bag and parking break. Almost all systems are faulted. I also have no OBD power. I have power to my radio but not to the controls. It starts, but it sounds very rough. I do not know if it is a coincidence but I tried a cheaper OBD monitor tool but I do not believe it got power. So it may or may not have been the culprit.

Either way, I hope we are not the only two on this planet with this issue!

Ever replace or test your battery? BMWs act real weird when battery needs replaced.

Hey,

Sorry for the late response.

The car is currently getting looked at by an independent and they are focusing in on the battery. They managed to clear most of the errors but were left with an under-voltage error to the EPS.

As I type this they are charging up the battery to check if this helps, no obvious electrical or mechanical issues.

It may well need a replacment battery.

I will update you once I hear back.

Cheers
Graham

The car is back with a new battery but still the same issue, in fact, the power steering isn't working at all now.

Loads of intermittent faults but the one that is permanent is.......

4823FD EPS Voltage supply, undervoltage control unit, deactivation of steering assistance.

Need to head to the dealer

I've seen a video on youtube with a similar issue. Check the ground wire from electric steering rack to the body frame. Cable was trashed at the mounting point from rust/vibrations and causing multiple electric codes.

Hey,

Just following up on this.

Turns out the EPS had failed and needed to be replaced.

Thanks
Graham
