need help with 2015 m4

Does anyone have a 2015 silver stone bmw m4? I bought one today and my buddy took a look at it and is telling me the dealer sold me a chopped car that had the whole front end cut off and welded back together ? Does anyone know best way to tell? Engine bay look slightly off like white not same colour as body panels. Car fax had two claims one front and one back for 7k and 9k which was when the car was almost brand new in the year 2015/ and 2016. If looked between the door gap it looks like a foam weld? Maybe a weld underneath I will post pictures if anyone can please help me out.

I just bought it yesterday. I’m fine with some work done to it of course, but if the whole front end is really like my friend is thinking that’s illegal I’m Canada… I’m waiting for a good body shop to inspect it Monday. Thought maybe someone else’s car had similar things as mine did. Hoping I didn’t get screwed.

It does seem like a lot of white in places where I’d expect body color, but it’s difficult to tell from pictures.

Maybe it’s a base coat with out the clear coat on top which changes the shade slightly ?

By the way the car is wrapped. Underneath is silver stone colour.

Does that VIN on the passenger & drivers side frames match the vehicle? Those are anti-tamper, if they peeled it off and swapped it you’d know.

Yes they do match, I was told that all m4a have the same colour engine bay as they do exterior colour. I even looked at a few coupes as mine is a convertible and they don’t have what I have between the doors… but also if someone did swap the whole front end and welded it together that’s a huge law suit as that’s illegal to sell and do in Canada. They should have had the car inspected inside and out before sale.

I have a 2015 Silverstone M4 I purchased new and that color for the engine bay is normal; it is not body color. I would seriously doubt the front end has been grafted on.

I also have a SSMII F8X and my engine bay, hood, and truck underlid are the same as yours. Maybe this is the same for other metallic colors? Its always bugged me.

Those photos are so close up and can't tell where they are. Post one that shows context.

Most colors we see, the underside of the hood/trunk is not clear coated. Thats completely normal. My SSII looks just like yours.
