40e transmission pan shape

Hi I have a 40e hybrid. Purchased a transmission fluid change kit with a pan integrated with the filter. I thought ZF pans are usually rectangular-ish based on Youtube videos I've seen. However, the shape of a pan I received has a part that sticks out in one of the corners. See attached (upper right). Is this expected? I haven't got a chance to check the installed pan on my vehicle.
