Decoding for no-dazzle hgh bm?

Anyone know what this option is? It’s on my M2 order and not quite sure what that means.

Bimmercode for no-dazzle

https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...6#post30369922

Vid shows how to code for no-dazzle. Also goes through all other bimmercode settings.

It’ll work for our car.

Side note, I drove about 60 miles late last night with cars sometimes front and oncoming cars and the Auto High Beams stayed on the entire time. It’s really cool watching the beam dance around the cars.

Not this guy but he follows the same coding and it definitely works. It’s not complicated and takes less than 10 minutes.

You’ll need two devices to do it. One with the instructions or screenshots (snap them from the video is probably the quickest. He posts the code. Example attached) and one connected to Bimmercode.

I hear you but they’ve said that about all the coding we’ve done so far. I promise you it’ll work. Just go slow. You have to use Expert mode.

You log in as G20 instead of G82, or does it matter?

I’ve used both G20 and G80 searching for more functionality, same results.

Bimmercode

So used Bimercode for the first time today. Pretty easy, but limited in things it can do. Biggest for me is getting rid of the legalese notice that pops up EVERY time you start the car, that you either have to click on OK or wait for it to go away. The key is linked to your profile, so if you've agreed to it once, why does BMW insist on annoying you for the life of your car (typically one model cycle, 7 years for me)?! That is so stupid. My Mercedes doesn't do that.

And I changed the one touch turn signal to 5 flashes, and got rid of the seat belt warning (always wear mine w/o thinking). Tomorrow I'll do the anti-dazzle coding.

Yes, but you don’t need to code it out. It’s default is off.

For those who don't want to watch the video, or need the notes, all you have to do is:

Open Bimmercode
Choose 3 Series/M3

- Go into the BDC Module
- Choose Expert Mode
- Find the following options and change them to these settings:

LA1
C_BLC_PRE_ENA | 1
LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y | AFS

LA2
C_AFS_ECO_LEVEL_3_ENA | 01
C_AFS_ENA | 01

LA3
LUT_AFS_CODRV_HOR | standard/init
LUT_AFS_DRV_HOR | F040_G005_AHL...
C_CLC_CURV_V2 | 23
C_CLC_CURV_V3 | 28
C_CLC_EXT_ENA | 01
C_HBA_DIM_ENA | 01
C_HBA_GFHBA_ENA_V_HI | 3C
C_HBA_GFHB_ENA | 01

- Hit "Code"
- Enjoy!
Glad you got it! Beating a dead horse, but it’s such a great feature and with it being legal now, I have no idea why they still decode it.

I can't tell you how relieving that is. I hate that "feature" on my G42.

Thanks for the help and making this easy M2siast
I also coded this and confirmed that it works through Bimmercode. Purchased OBDLink CX $80 on Amazon with same day delivery, and purchased the Bimmercode app for $50 on Android ($40 on Apple Store). Totally worth the money seeing the features you get with coding...

-Adjusted right passenger mirror tilt when in reverse to 70%
-Disable warnings when starting the car
-Bowers and Wilkins sound profile
-Thinking of disabling ASD (Active Sound Design = fake engine noises)

The "No-Dazzle" feature is my favorite and really wakes the car up at night. I drove through some dark empty roads and it lit everything up. Then when I got to a highway with some cars, just seeing the headlights constantly adjusting and moving around are amazing. No one got high-beamed, and it even adjusted it for a car on a perpendicular overpass.

Here is another video of what is does (not the same car but works exactly like this)...
