side mirror lowering in reverse
i'm confused... to have the passenger side mirror lower the driver side mirror must be selected... is this just because it has to be the opposite of mercedes?
now, what i didn't find in the manual: how (if?) can i adjust how much i want the mirror to be lowered? |

Who told you that? Look at p 119 of the user manual

ah... yes, this feature is available! the automatic curb monitor
i meant to save another mirror position in my presets like the normal mirror position. the curb monitor angles preset can't be changed - that's what i meant! |

Edit: Just went out to my car. Yes, the system asks for the driver's mirror - counterintuitively - to be selected to get the passenger mirror down, and no it does not allow adjustment once it is down. I almost never parallel park so I hadn't noticed. Two things that I suppose could and should be fixable in software. Very strange that they set it up this way. Somebody was not paying attention.

In previous generations of the 7 series this was something you could code using the BimmerCode. However, last I checked, BimmerCode hasn’t been updated to work with 2023 models and therefore can’t be used. Hopefully BimmerCode team can figure this out soon.

BimmerCode has provided no timetable. And we may not ever get the usual kind of coding because bmw may not allow it. I’m not sure what would happen if the software was modified and then detected by the car - or bmw when the car communicates to bmw. I know for sure I’m not going to be the first to have my car coded even if there are things I really want to do.
