Optimistic
No need to point it out, I know I am too optimistic about the pricing of the new 1. I just think that it would be against BMW's best interests to make a base 135 start in the mid 30's. They could absolutely cause a wave in the auto industry as a whole if they price the 1's correctly.

I really wish they would sell for less, but given what they sell for in the UK, and use the pricing of the 3 series in the UK against the US, my best guess is price range for the 128i $28,000.-$31,000. depending on equipment, and $35,000.-$38,000. for the 135i. It would still put the 135i well equipped $4000. below the base 335i coupe.Where else can you get this kind of performance for that price. I have seen people say the Mustang, you are comparing apples to oranges. The closest would have been the GTO, I owned an 05 and paid $33,000.00. But I must admit that I drove the 335i and if the 135i is anywhere close, it is a far better road car, than the GTO. SO the answer is nowhere!!! So I drive an M5, and the younger side of me wants the 135i to add to my car collection.
