$119000.00 dollar car and a 50cent key fob.. please tell me someone makes a fancier key fob that just needs to be programmed by a locksmith.. That fob is just embarassing.

I’ve had a gates key for almost 4yrs. Top notch stuff, and his custy service is top tier. I was an early adopter before he had the key cutting apparatus. I sent him my key and he cut it for free.

I don't think Gates innovation is still taking new orders, they stopped replying to all of their instagram comments about their keys and removed their entire comment section all together. I messaged them awhile back and never got a reply. So I am currently also looking for alternatives and I think I have found a reputable one.

I got a nice leather key cover off etsy. Makes it feel a lot higher end. Lots of junk out there but you can get handmade and embossed ones. I tried to match the paint.. semi successful.

One of my work employees just received a X4M key reprogrammed on site by a locksmith at my facility for his F- 4 series grand coupe when he lost his key. The price, $450.00 USD. The key is heavy and for the price who gives AF! it's like complaining that a hot chick doesn't have a matching Coach bag and wallet...

When I purchased my car, the seller already had the key done by Gates. He mentioned a couple times how terrible his experience was with them caused by issues with them going dark for weeks after they had the key and issues overall with getting responses. I think he said it took him several months to get his key.

There was a guy who was doing them on the classifieds section in Vancouver Canada.

I did mine myself, there's a few guides online and you'll need a hot air station/soldering iron.
