Ordering Restrictions
Hi!
I've just been told by one of my dealer that there are heavy ordering restrictions now. Anyone know anything about these? When they took effect and when they may be lifted? Apparently: Davit Grey Tanzanite Blue Frozen Tanzanite Blue Frozen Deep Grey Frozen Pure Grey Are all currently unable to be ordered And NONE of the full Merino Leather interiors are possible BMW Individual Composition is restricted (probably because no full leathers are available) As are the below: Climate Comfort Laminated Glass Blue Break Calipers Carbon Fiber Trim Alcantara Headliner (maybe this is why none of the full leather are available) Silver Ash Trim Other item: One dealer told me there is an additional discount on MF for loyalty of 40 basis points which makes $3,000 loyalty+MF discount better then the corporate $3,000 discount. However, when poking around further, I can't seem to find anything confirming that there is any difference (currently) between these two discounts on an i7. Anyone know anything here? |

FWIW the web build your own contains no such restrictions. Is this a dealer/sales person you can trust?

I don’t understand why there wasn’t simply less of a discount from msrp but maybe it has to do with the fact there’s a broker involved?

The broker couldn’t make the deal work but I found a dealer willing to do the same without a broker (so no broker fee)
It’s essentially 11.5% off or so. The 20pts is about a .5% interest markup if I do my math correct. The dealer was more willing to do that than a straight discount. My assumption is it has something to do with internal profit split? |

Got it, I see what you're saying now. They inflated the MF in exchange for more discount off of the MSRP.
Personally, as long as I wind up with the deal and payment I want how they get there is immaterial! |

I’ve spent a bit poking around and I think the only way to beat this is with a stock unit. However, if I’m spending so much, I’d rather get exactly what I want . |

I had a dealer offer 2k off and marked MF up so much that it was an 18k difference over a 3 year lease vs what I ultimately got! |
