X5 F15 35d - Chain replacement

Hello,
I live in Canada, Ontario.
I own x5 f15 3.0 diesel in decent shape with a bit over 150k kms on it.
I own it since 120k and changing oil\filters every 6k.
0 issues with the car at the moment, smooth experience.

I start worrying about the chain replacement and EGR if it will require replacement. In my believes, 35d extremely reliable engine with great transmissions - I maintained last one at 120k and have no issues.

But now I feel that I started sync that chain will require replacement soon as well as egr considering my millage. I have 2 questions - is it frequent that chain will require replacement before 200-250k km and how much it potentially can cost in Canada, if there people who replaced it here. As I heard that some people mentioned numbers like 7-8k for chain replacement, and I think if it’s worth it to keep this car as I love it, or it’s time to change it.
