Has anyone Successfully activated plug and charge on the i7

i'm going in with the iX on Tuesday ... I'll ask about the Plug & Charge for i7 as I recently received an e-mail from BMW about having a certificate installed to enable this

Just left electrify america and plug in, hit ok on screen, and I was good to go. Plug and charge, but still needed to confirm on screen hitting ok, but it knew all the information and the free charging without me doing anything in car or on app.

How did you set it up

I really didn’t do anything. When I purchased my i7 the genius activated my electrify america account linked to and in my BMW app and it all just synced and I was all set. Pretty simple and it showed on the screen $0.00 per KwH

Yeah me too but I always have to use the app .But now I see The new feature on 8.5

Plug & Charge now works at Ionity Chargers in Sweden (guess all over Europe). Very conveniant!

Early i7 -2022 on iDrive 8.5 (07/2023.53).

I have it too in my Swedish i7. I set it up in my BMW charging account from the BMW app and then I had to download the contract into the car under charging in iDrive It’s so nice not needing to use the app to charge.

I’m also set up on the bmw app but it still says no contract available ..Are you MY24

I showed him the email about this we received directly from bmw and he shrugged it off and said there was nothing that the service department needed to do to my i7 despite me showing him the message stated he needed to install a certificate!

Last summer my SA went off for several days, presumably with others, specifically for training on the electric BMWs. Maybe your guy wasn't invited to that party -- or wasn't listening.

My service department said they haven’t heard that either even after seeing the email

In iDrive it says download contract (or agreement, I’m translating from Swedish) but what I really think you do is downloading and installing a certificate. You can download 5 different agreements and you can change name on them so you know which is which.

I took my vehicle in for the update/install for plug and charge with crevier bmw … even made an appointment … and when I showed up they said they are unable to do the upgrade/install as they don’t have instructions or parts ….

???!?!

Anyone else ?
