I'm going for it as I will have a beige interior and it will provide some contrast. Brushed aluminium/titanium will be a bit lost in the light coloured interior IMHO. Wood looks too stately for a sporty car.

Up until about a month ago I was under the impression the wood in a BMW cabin was plastic, or, 'petro-wood'. My salesman informed me it was real wood. I went with gloss black anyway.

I personally love the look of the piano black . . . . but I believe it's a real bitch to keep clean! Shows every little finger mark and you are forever wiping it down.
Seems to be the flavor of the week with many pseudo luxury cars sold in Australia at present.

Hey! Another Aussie!
High gloss black is not available here according to my dealer. So I ordered Poplar Grey instead.

From what I've read, piano black is much nicer and only available in Europe for the 3 series. The Canadian 328 coupe has the high gloss black trim, not the lacquered-like finish of the piano black.

I spent some quality time oggling a new Steinway Model D this weekend. Man the quality of the finish on the case of that piano is incredible. I don't think 'High Gloss Black' will come close.
