Likewise. Driven most G8x variants and owned both G82 Comp xDrive and CS and I really enjoyed my time in the RWD M2. The CS will be awesome.

It’s missing one critical thing. A third pedal.

Yea, I can barely drive my 2025 M2 at 50% of what it’s capable of on public roads. Don’t need it any faster. More raw and soulful, yes, but a clutch pedal is critical in that.

Selfishly, I'm almost glad it doesn't have a third pedal... if it did I'd be feeling much more conflicted about the order I currently have in. With the CS being auto-only, I don't even have to consider it as an option

The E46 M3 CSL also lacked a third pedal.

Exactly how I feel. I get that the ZF is going to ultimately be faster around a track, where the CS shines, but for me, this isn't strictly a track car, it's a fair weather daily that I can actually enjoy driving. Can't do that without a proper transmission.

I wonder how much more over a M2 it will be?
If it’s $20k then it’s a maybe.
Any more than that I will have to just admire the car reviews.

Oh no, not this again... The manual purists have entered this thread in 3... 2... 1... Wait, they're here already & have breached the front gates, earlier than originally expected. 7th post in & it already begins. Not surprised or shocked in any way, not even the slightest. LMAO I get it, some of you guys & gals will never be able to let go of this quickly aging & almost outta here type of dated mindset. I once was with you guys. Back in the day when autos were considered slush slush boxes. But they're truly not & haven't been for a while now. Auto's have come a long way from what they used to be. And guess what, as engaging as you think it might be to have a manual shifter in your right hand, the fastest cars in the world on a track have fully built autos in them & when you're rounding a corner / hitting an apex at triple digits speeds have one hand on the steering wheel & the other on the shift knob you so hold as the righteous way to row through the gears... it's definitely not the way I want to hang tight as I take extreme corners. Remember that add campaign for Bullshift shifters I think it was. They said... "because in beteen gears... your car is just an expensive noise maker". I'm not sorry this will come in an auto. The manuals just aren't strong enough / robust to put all that torque down. My love for the manual dies almost 20 years ago. Back on topic. This G87 M2 CS looks sick & is well poised to bring even more joy to our faces... !
