No more loaner cars?!
I heard from a friend that the BMW dealer in NoVa located off Prosperity changed their loaner car policy and are not giving loaner cars out unless the owner's car was towed in or is inoperable. Has anyone gone in for service recently? If so can you confirm if this is true?

It would not surprise me. They got a new fixed operations director not too long ago, so he might be trying to cut loaner expense.

I had a 335i that was upgraded to a 5 series the last time I was there... I know the Md side only gave a BMW loaner if you bought the car from them and its a major service like 15k or 30k... and would be surprise if thats what most dealership are doing too due to the economy
DC doesnt have BMW dealership, I dont think

Agree with ase2dais...Boeing cut 5k jobs this week and even Microsoft cut about the same. Read an article online that said most car dealers are dying out there domestic ones more than the luxury brands like BMW but they too are not immune. So as dealers try to cut cost to surivive...I see the free loaner as one of the 1st to go like was said earlier especially if NOT a major service and if you didn't buy the car from them unless you're like a VERY loyal customer otherwise.
Also am curious how long the BMW "free" maintenance plan will last if the economy worsens and sales slump anymore in the US. Maybe that will be the next thing to get reduced or go?
