Motor Trend Transmission Rant

Not starting a dual clutch vs. conventional manual thread. Get whatever you want. While admittedly a rant, the linked blog really brings out some interesting points IMHO. Implementation makes a big difference and while I got the dual clutch in this car, I'd make the opposite decision in a p-car.

M5 doesn't have dual clutch as the article states.

towards the bottom it states that m5 has smg not dct

Realized he is responding to a reader who thinks DCT's and sequentials are the same in practice.

I was about to go off on a rant about Motor Trend employing someone who doesn't get the difference between SMG and DCT.
