you have to try this!!!!

So my wife drove my car to work today, on her way home she called me to say she be home in about 10 minutes. 5 minutes later I go outside and wait. OMG, I heard my car coming home from down the street, as it came around the corner the sound was AMAZING, a deap throaty "whine" sound. I have had my car for almost a year and have never heard what the car sounds like from the outside. Also, it was weird seeing the car drive around the corner too. maybe it's just me, but it was really cool.

I can appreciate that. May have to let my wife drive the car, just to check it out!

lol, have you ever sat in the back seat of your own car when someone else is driving (not when you're drunk and can't remember, lol) it's a very weird feeling.

Yeah, unfortunately, the cabin is way too insulated IMO. I pulled the rear seats out several times and that gave me the chance to peak underneath the side panels and the carpet, and there is a great deal of insulation around.

yeah, my dealer drove it off when I dropped it off for service....the whine and rumble of the engine was awesome...I love it when I pull into the city on the way to the office and it reverbs off the walls of the buildings....people stop in their tracks to look...especially now with the tints...crazy sweet.

My neighbor down the block also has a e92, I can tell he's coming home from a few blocks away. I love the distinct sound.

we were at a car meet and I let a friend go to the liquor store across the street. my first time hearing it going away from me. with my new exhaust the car sounds insane. I was like "if I had any other car I wouldn't wanna race that thing"

And it definately looks cool coming at you around a corner

Had the same experience recently when my car was in for service and the attendant drove the car off to the service bay. My thought was: "damn that engine sounds incredible." I never had this thought with my e46 M3.

True, and you'll get to enjoy the sound a few more seconds as the added weight makes the car considerably slower...
