Why doesn't the Stoptech SS line kit include the second hose in the rear?
I am looking into the Stoptech SS line kit.
There are two hoses in the stock system for the rear (#7 and #11). The stoptech kit seems to only convert one of those hoses to SS (#11?). Why is that? http://www.zeckhausen.com/BMW/E92_M3.htm This other SS kit has both hoses: http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...oductID=257353

I have sent an inquiry to Zeckhausen who I got the kit from. Edit: I see Dave was very responsive (2 posts down), as usual!

If there was enough demand for an "advanced" 4-line kit, they would probably make one available. But an informal poll of the folks who have purchased the 2-line rear kit thus far, none have indicated they would have wanted to tackle the inner line replacement. If you want to see a 4-line rear kit, feel free to let me know and I'll pass that along to StopTech.

I have worked in the past with StopTech on custom projects. They are awesome to work with. They can prototype any hose you need and then directly ship it to you. This is no disrespect to Dave who seems like a great vendor here but you can get anything you need directly from StopTech.
Case in point, I ordered a 4 line kit for my EVO VIII when they first came out. StopTech used an Eclipse PN# and the line guide were backwards. I took photos and submitted drawings to StopTech for product improvement. They built new lines to my specifications and FedEx'ed them to me next day. I took photos to demonstrate that it was correct and my specifications became the official EVO VIII brake line kit. The whole thing took about 3 days. They were just that responsive! If you go through the trouble to have a kit made you will help us all. Cheers

It turns out there are at least two people who have replaced hose #7 with SS lines without the need to mess with the subframe. More on that here:

Did StopTech ever respond to these posts?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

We also did not see any big problem replacing the 2nd hose section when we did the challenge lines on our E92 M3. Anyone else do it themselves here say it was beyond their ability by chance?

I recently installed a StopTech kit on my 335. It came with 6 pieces for the lines. It's tight in there and I didn't have any wrenches that would help so I paid my local independent shop to finish the install after I did everything else.
