Renting M3 for Weekend Party

Hey fellas,

I'm at a bachelor party and am thinking about renting a M3 for the weekend. Any model will do, but I think we'd prefer the E90. Unless other models are cheaper. Any suggestions or ideas? Currently, I'm finding places for $450/day, and that seems pretty excessive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. This is the closest I'll get to a M3 until I can persuade the future Mrs. on a E90.

Go to a dealership and see if they'll let you do an overnight test drive. Weekend probably isn't possible.

I don't know about any of you guys, but I'm in no shape to drive the entire next day after a serious bachelor weekend. Know what I mean? I wouldn't be able to enjoy a rented car.

Don't see the point... Not the type of environment where you can get the most out of the car. High performance car and party atmosphere, even if the driver is not drinking, is not a good combination. Seems like a larger luxery car would be nicer, or even better, a limo.

Really, an M3 at this type of event? I hate to be this negative, but this is what leads to becoming a Darwin Award candidate. Think about it: no sleep; mucho alcohol ; other "substances" ; guys pushing you to be stupid....and 414 HP?

Save the money and spend it on something else.

DO yourself a favor. Save the money this weekend and enjoy the stagg. Rent the M3 later in the summer and take a nice weekend trip on a nice long drive where you could enjoy the car.

After many, many, many bachelor parties the LAST thing you want to do is drive a car capabile of attracting every cop within 20 miles. The night is about the groom to be and not the cars.

Seriously...Everything sounds like a good idea when you're smashed. Having the keys to an M3 would be trouble!

Spend your money on alcohol and limos/cabs (much safer!). Plus you're there with your friends. You can only fit four in an M3. Unless you're ditching the group for your own thing, I wouldn't do it.

Maybe the OP just wants to be like a guy who was at a corporate BMW Performance Center Driving Event I attended. The guy ignored everything he was told, drove like a tool, and turned off traction control despite being told not to. He rammed the Performance Center's M5 into the Armco.

Next thing we know he's on his cellphone, gleefully blabbing to his buddies:

"Hey guess what? I just wrecked a $95,000 car! Isn't that awesome?"

If anyone just saw "The Hangover", that M3 will be in bad shape the next day. =)

I dislike assholes like this. Hopefully, they will deliver the wrecked car to his house and a bill to go along with it. At the M Power tour, they warned everyone about turning the traction control off. If you wreck it and traction control is off...it's yours. Not sure how serious they are...but it would make assholes like this think!

That would be hard to explain to your wife--a wrecked $95,000 car in your driveway in the morning and a large invoice!

He's going to spend $450 to rent a M3 to look like a baller going to the strip club. Strippers will think he's a baller cause he rolled in a M3 not knowing he spent the lap dance money on renting the M3. So with all the money poured into renting a M3 to be a baller, he'll be playing pocket pool in the corner of the strip club by himself.
