WTB: FOX RED leather-yard

Wasn't sure where to post this in the Marketplace section so it didn't get buried over there so posting it here so it can get more traffic & maybe I get a response...so mods let it sit here for a lil thanks

Well like the title says I want to buy at the most a yard of Fox Red leather...I'm thinking about getting a custom watch strap done in FOX RED to switch it up a little from time to time, but can't do it w/ out FR leather so I've come to you guys to point me in the right direction...

Where can I buy some FOX RED Leather????

Also if anyone else is interested in getting one done let me know & maybe I can get a couple more made...not sure how much its going to cost yet just playing around w/ the idea...

If LeatherZ can't get the E9x M3 OEM leather hides to make shifter and parking brake boots for sale I don't think that you will have better luck... it seems that for some particular reason BMW decided not to make those OEM leather hides available for sale as they did for the E46.

Of course, if you can pull a miracle up just let us know...

Bump... I'm also interested in a small (couple of SF) myself for an interior DIY project. I found a company on the West coast a while back that custom dyes leather hides but they hide big set up fee and min. purchase req.

Or, you can order perhaps some small interior part - say like a headrest, and skin it.

On getbmwparts.com, an 08 headrest is around $255 (I checked because I want to eventually replace my 09 fixed item with the tiltable 08 model).

I'd be interested in a watch strap in FR as well. But getting BMW leather may be next to impossible. I'd check out Heroic18.com or contact Rob Montana, I think his site is thestrapsmith.com. Both those sites have some of the best straps available with endless possibilities. Not sure about Heroic18, but I know Rob can make you just about anything you have in mind.

Or get a small sample of fox red and find a shop to match it for you.

Or maybe you could match the carbon leather w/red stitching.

Thanks, but I tried something similar already... I actually had an extra back rest (dealer service dept scratched mine when the car was brand new & bought me a new one), but with the seams and such, it was a couple of inches short of what I need.

Does the 08 headrest have the embossed "M" AND articulates? If so, I may want to replace for the articulating function alone. Then I could sell my 09 headrests for someone looking to make Fox watch straps.

Perhaps someone knows of a quality upholstery shop in South Florida that custom dyes leather in small quantities. I tried searching and only found run of the mill places that either didn't want to deal with a small custom project or wouldn't guarantee their work (being an anal prick, this is unacceptable for me). lol

+1 for Rob Montana (yeah, www.thestrapsmith.com).

You should contact him just to see if he can find anything that matches.

What watch are you putting it on?
