Quick DCT question

Dealer replaced my DCT shifter last week because of an electronics issue. Now I notice that the lights on the shifter are very bright at night. Can anyone with DCT tell me if their lights dim when the headlights are on?

The center stays bright for a while and the letter/numbers all around it will dim when you turn on the lights.
