DCT and spin
Hello guys,
there was some discussion a year ago about DCT handling a spin situation: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...ght=DCT+damage Correct answer - DCT is smart enough to disengage the clutch, right? Thanks, Andrew |

I would think so, it has G-sensors for fore and aft movement. I don't know that anyone has spun one yet. However, the same problem would also apply to a SMG, and I've never heard of an issue with SMG in a spin. I do know that if you downshift in a low traction situation like snow or ice and it breaks the back wheels loose, DCT will disengage the clutch to regain traction to the rear wheels.
